Crane Beach is on the southeastern side of Barbados and is a popular beach for locals and visitors alike. It is located just down the side of a steep cliff below the prestigious Crane Resort & Hotel. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards regularly because the waves may seem calm and unassuming but the area is known to have a very strong undercurrent that has put many the confident swimmer up to the test. As they say in Barbados, "the sea ain't got no backdoor" so whether you are a strong swimmer or not it is suggested that one take caution in the water on even the calm days.
