Though all the brochures and ads are still selling blue sea and white sand, for many Caribbean islands, the beach is buried under mounds of invading Sargassum seaweed!

Can the large deposits of seaweed be utilized in a way that could give Caribbean economy new life?
Time will tell.
In the meantime, one can appreciate that even though the heavy influx is considered a nuisance, mother nature sure does a beautiful way of regulating herself and we could also just venture to West coast of most of the affected islands and enjoy clean beaches there.
What are your thoughts about this Sargassum Invasion?
